I had dogs and cats as a kid and used to read a lot of books on dog care, training, and breeds, dogs were a special interest to me. Now that I'm older I like lizards and rabbits as well but don't currently look after any pets of my own. I think you should be caring and gentle with animals as well as playful when they need it. I understand that animals don't speak English and to pay attention to their needs and not do things like drag them while walking, people who do that should not be allowed animals. I promise I would not mistreat an animal like the jerk I saw in the park the other day. And of course, any medical needs or food preferences your pet has will be looked afteras instructed by you. I'm not a vet so I will trust their instructions. I can do overnight care if needed.
