I recently moved to WA after living and growing up in the ACT for 19 years. I graduated year 12 in 2021 and planning to have a break before any studies or full-time work. At the beginning of 2022 I began work for a family of four and was a nanny for two young children, aged 5 and 6. My duties included picking up from school, carrying out afternoon activities, and prepping dinners for the children. A month into this job I was then asked by the parents to help out with housekeeping duties, which included cleaning floors, bathrooms, and general tidying up. I was then put in contact with a friend of this family’s and began to assist with their household duties as well. I have also grown up with having to help out with cleaning my own home which gave me a fair bit of experience.
