Hello, my name is Tia. I am currently in my second year of University at QUT, doing a double degree in Paramedic Science and Nursing. Throughout my years I have had a lot of experience looking after children. I have captained and helped coach aspiring young swimmers in Mackay, through this experience I have learnt many skills including; leadership, diligence, and fun. Having a younger brother of 4 years, I have always been active in helping raise him and his fellow friends. I have baby sat multiple family friends kids in the past two years. Over the past summer break I had the opportunity to do a full time 6 week paramedic placement with the Queensland Ambulance Service. This was the best thing that has happened in my life, as it opened my eyes to see a wide range of individual, family and community situations. Health and well being is extremely important to be, I believe that children should be getting active and having fun. I can quickly adapt to new situations and have a flexible schedule and am open to working last minute.
