Currently, I work as a teachers assistant at a Sunday school fortnightly. Some of my roles and responsibilities include; - Teach Language and Religious Learning - Work with children aged 7-13 - Work with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule - Assist teachers with lesson preparation - Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean - Help teachers to create lesson plans Additionally, I have 4 years experience as a camp counselor for an Australian youth movement. We run monthly activities for our members and host camps every school holiday. During camps my duties and responsibilities include; - Planning and overseeing camper activities - Guiding and teaching a range of outdoor activities (hiking, swimming, boating, etc.) - Ensuring camper safety and monitoring their activities - Setting up and ensuring recreation equipment is secure and stored properly - Supervising campers during meals - Instructing campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks - Following safety and emergency procedures and guidelines - Working one-on-one with campers - Instructing and organize camper projects (arts and crafts, dramatics, etc.) - Performing administrative tasks (filing, record keeping, etc.) as needed
