Hi! I think I would be a great fit for your needs! I have my Bachelor's Degree of Social Work and spent several years working in child protection and foster care. I live with my husband and our 2 year old daughter (she's in daycare full time so my availability is open). I've worked full-time both as a nanny once and au pair twice. I've worked as a lead teacher at two different childcare centres back in the States. After I returned from maternity leave after having my daughter, I went into a management position and oversaw 3 very high-care needs (physical/mental/intellectual) residential houses for 1.5 years. Despite being moved to management, I remained working out of the houses I coordinated so still got plenty of experience on the floor. I then went to work for another disability organisation in higher management. I've recently switched jobs to a working from home, pick-your-own-hours sort of job so I'm wanting something to fill in my time that is more hands on and rewarding. I'm great at making people laugh, being encouraging and enthusiastic, thinking of creative new activities, and understanding needs. I also have my current and full Childcare First Aid Certification including first aid, CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis.
