I have babysitting experience with children aged 5-11 in Ballarat. Whilst employed in this position, I provided both assistance with daily and bedtime routines as well as academic support from a tutoring point of view to primary school aged children. I would be open to and capable of providing this same level of academic support to older children too. I also worked as a Camp Counsellor for two months in Texas, US. Whilst employed in this seasonal position, I cared for a unit of 36 Girl Scouts for a period of 5 days per week. These children were aged 11-14, however I also worked with other campers aged 6-16. I was responsible for implementing a daily routine that provided them with a level of normality in an unfamiliar environment. This employment opportunity also provided me with vital skills and experience in regards to caring for children with special needs, such as a range of communication skills and an improved level of patience that is required to provide the best tailored support to the child with needs.
