I am a psychology student with an interest in working with children as a teacher once I have graduated from my undergraduate course, and hopefully as a therapist for women and children once I have completed my masters in psychotherapy and counselling. I was an au-pair for three young girls in England, aged 4, 7 and 11, for nine months -- only coming home to Australia to begin my university studies. I am extremely motivated to ensure a great quality of care is given when working with children, as I have learnt, both from my studies and experience, how important good role models are for children of all ages. I am a light-hearted, confident, extremely caring and patient person who wishes to provide an extremely high level of care for your children. Though a majority of my work experience has been in hospitality, I believe these years of experience have only enhanced my positive qualities, such as patience, understanding and dedication to the role. Working as an au-pair showed me how fulfilling childcare can be and how important the role of a caregiver is. I have further experience working as a babysitter also, as well as caring for my toddler nephew and neighbours young children.
