Being the oldest of 8 brothers and sisters, I have had plenty of lived experience caring for children aged newborn all the way to 15 year olds. Between 2020-2022, I undertook my first offical babysitting position with a local family where I cared for a pair of brothers aged 2-4 and 8-10. My responsibilities for this role included: •Supervising and ensuring a safe environment for the children •Preparing the children healthy meals •Keeping up with the children’s routine •General tidying and housekeeping •Communicating with the parents. •Planning fun and enriching activities March 2023- February 2024 I was employed with Extend before and after school care as Service Coordinator. My responsibilities for this role included: •Providing the children healthy snacks •Supervising the children and ensuring a safe environment •Planning and conducting fun and enriching activities •Communicating with parents and family members •Writing observations and daily reflections I am currently studying a Diploma of Community Services at RMIT University which once competed, I plan to pursue a career in Youth Work.
