I'm an experienced (11 years!) OSHC worker looking for casual babysitting work around my OSHC job. I'm used to caring for lots of children of different ages. I am very happy to help with homework and do to some basic cooking and cleaning, though care of the children will always come first. I love taking children 'out'- you can hire me to take your children on 'excursions' if you don't have time right now but they really want to go to the museum or zoo or somewhere else fun! I love crafts, art, games, reading, animals and imagination games. My childcare philosophy ideally involves allowing children to make controlled messes and get dirty, playing in nature, imaginative play, 'loose parts' play, helping children develop skills extending on what they are already interested in and encouraging foundational reading, writing and maths skills. Kids usually gravitate towards me. I'm happy to help with life skills, party chaperoning/running, being an extra pair of hands for birthday parties or family outings, running craft lessons, gaming sessions, decluttering sessions for children and more. I'm currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and I did study but not complete a Masters in Teaching.
