Hi, I’m a 19 years old who just came back from a gap year living in Oxford. I was working at a school as a gappie. To earn extra money on the side I was doing frequent babysitting throughout the week. I have over 8 families I’d regularly care for, ages ranging from 4 to 15 years old. I loved my time looking after them and I try to mix it up from a traditional babysitting standpoint of being very demanding. Instead I prefer the “older brother” approach. This means I like to talk to the kids I’m looking after on a more personal level, while maintaining professionalism of course. But I also like to play games and activities with my clients I care for. By doing so, this meant not only the kids had fun but I also had a great time. I have a vast level of experience with all types of kids, even those with disabilities.
