I am a friendly, empathetic, compassionate 36-year-old currently finishing my Bachelor of Arts Honours with a view to pursuing a PhD afterwards. I work in theatre and am a freelance writer and editor. In between my studies I'm looking for some extra work. I love working with people, and get along with people from all walks of life, regardless of age and stage! I don't have children of my own but I'm everyone's favourite Auntie Melissa. As a high-achieving, academically-minded person, I'm passionate about helping those around me learn. I am a patient, caring and compassionate person and an excellent communicator with a friendly vibe. I gained experience in caring when my mother fell suddenly ill with advanced and aggressive cancer and I became her fulltime carer. This sad but powerful experience taught me that I have a passion for caring.
