I've been babysitting since I was very young. When I was a student I looked after the children of several families on a daily basis for 3 years. This involved taking them to school or to their activities, cooking for them, helping them with their homework, putting them to bed, organising outings or activities etc... During the summers I also looked after several children for entire weekends. And that always went well with the children. I sometimes babysat more than 5 children at the same time when their friends came to play with us. I am also qualified to look after infants from 6 months. Having looked after the same children over the long term, I've learnt to be authoritative while remaining gentle. It's also important for me to respect parents' wishes, such as banning screens, video games or putting children to bed at a specific time...
