I have a firm grounding in child-centered care, and I have the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I've also worked in a childcare center for 2 years. My skills include the planning of stimulating, appropriate developmental activities that will enhance learning and social skills; ensuring the safety of the children; and giving emotional support. I have experience with different age groups, from toddlers to school-aged, and I am aware of how to maintain an environment that is positive and nurturing. I am able to communicate well with the children and the parents so that the needs and concerns can be addressed. I am also capable of establishing routines, re-directing behavior in a positive manner, and promoting independence in children.
