I am currently a university student studying Social Work. I am experienced in infant childcare and am a responsible, caring and confident person. I have grown up in a family who values children and who has been faced with challenges caring for a disabled sibling. I believe caring for a young child is a privileged position and must be undertaken with great responsibility. I understand the importance of fostering a safe, secure and nurturing environment for a child and complying with a parent's routines and standards. I have work experience, in retail, hospitality, education and childcare, a women and children's refuge and disability care which involved working with children with special needs, including an infant palliative care I have over 5 years of experience in working with children of all ages. This includes volunteer and paid work. I have regularly babysat children of multiple families with ages ranging from 8 months to 12 years old. I have volunteered at a local community church as a child carer for infant children. I have worked in schools, implementing a positive psychology programs and have supported women and children in various ways who have experienced domestic violence and homelessness.
