I have been baby sitting for over a year now and have developed many skills and learnt many important responsibilities over that time period. For example, I believe that an important responsibility as a babysitter is ensuring the safety of the children at all times. This is a vital responsibility as the children safety is a number one priority. Another responsibility is preparing food, which can also present its own challenges. Checking in with the parents if the child has any allergies is imperative. Disciplining the children is also another responsibility, I have different strategies when it comes to this. Such as, time out or confiscating belongings for a short period of time. Important skills as a babysitter that I believe I possess includes, stamina, enthusiasm, problem-solving skills, creativity, interpersonal skills and most importantly good communication skills.
