I am 18 years old and just finished a cert ll in assistant nursing, whilst completing work experience in two nursing homes and a children's hospital. I currently work at a Before and after school care center, where I spend six hours a day, three times a week with primary school kids. My role is to help with homework and reading, organise and supervise activities and games, prepare food for them and generally care for their needs. Excluding 2 weekly appointments, I am available 7 days a week from now until New Year's Eve; morning, night and day. Then when I return from trekking overseas I will be happy to commit to any jobs from then onwards with similar availability. By the end of February, I will have my Provisional license and will be able to do pick ups and drop off whether it's to and from school, sports, or daytime activities. Baking, making Christmas craft, face painting, drawing, and building toys/lego are some of the creative activities I use to activate the kids, as I am fully supportive of reducing their screen time. I also have my first aid certificate, as well as a Working with Children Police Check.
