Nanny- London I was a nanny for a lovely family in London caring for 2 children, a girl aged 6 and boy aged 11. My role included; during term time taking them to and from school, driving them to after school clubs, helping with homework, preparing healthy meals, daily washing, bath time, ensuring their areas were kept tidy and weekly food shops. During the school holidays I took them on fun outings such as going to the park, museums, play areas, play dates, the library and arts and crafts. As well as making sure the children had fun during the holidays it was also key to continue to develop their education in a number of ways with light reading, worksheets, using our outings to learn about history, science and exercise whether it is at home or in the parks. Nursery- I joined Shapes Day Nursery as a room leader my responsibilities include managing 6 other nursery staff, caring for up to 30 children per day, planning individual learning and development objectives each week and creating fun ways in which to do so. And, of course, there’s the usual day to day care including feeding them, toilet training and creating a nurturing environment so they feel safe and happy.
