I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing and in the past I have helped family and friends with looking after their children. I have also provided tutoring services to other University students as well as undertaking continued education including learning Japanese vocationally. I have owned dogs, cats, fish, rats, birds and turtles in the past, so being around them while helping to look after your family is a bonus. I like to help children learn new skills and I also believe in giving them things to do that can encourage both there gross and fine motor skills. It can be playing with Play-Doh to painting pictures, growing plants or reading books, I believe there are many opportunities to encourage fun learning and even if it take a bit longer, things like learning to look after themselves or helping to set the table. I also believe in setting a good example which included using and encouraging the use of manners as well as appropriate language.
