I am currently a second year student in Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I work in Aftercare/Holiday Care with YLV and Matrix Early Learning Fawkner where I developed my ability to keep children safe, build relationships with families and deliver creative and educational programs that follow the principles of the holistic child approach and the EYLF holistic development strategy. I believe in the importance of creating a learning environment that acts as a "third teacher" and allows children to participate in their learning. My approach is between scaffolding, hands-on work and learning through play and demonstrates my belief that every child has potential and a capable learner. I hold numerous certifications, including Working with Children Check, First Aid (HLTAID012), DoFoodSafely and Disability Certificate IV (CHC43115) to ensure I meet the requirements to work effectively.
