I am 24 years old and have spent the 18 months as a youth worker. I worked for Big Brown House supporting children aged 1-17 within our company homes and also in community and mentoring shifts. I have recently joined another company called Aspire Homes and am looking for additional work. outdoors. I understand it would be difficult for children to accept a new person looking after them and for them to feel safe and comfortable. However I feel as though building rapports with a child and gaining their trust quickly is one of my strengths being a youth worker for 18 months and working with several kids. I have worked with up to 5 children at one time and have extensive experience and training in managing and working with children of all ages and behaviours. I believe I bring a caring, supporting and calm approach however can implement necessary boundaries that are necessary and required in terms of routines and bedtime etc. I have worked with numerous young children in the Newcastle and Port Stephens area and have been able to have a positive impact on their lives which has been awesome. I love fishing, playing sports, going to the beach, card games and any activity/ hobby that is outdoors and fun.
