I have worked with children, and young people in perhaps a different setting to most! For 2 years, I was a Team Leader in residential care, working with young people aged 9-17, with a range of needs. In the home I would provide the essential day-to-day care (from school runs to cleaning/cooking/hygiene/homework), as well as emotional support and guidance. I currently work at the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs, and while this doesn't require the practical skills I utilised in residential care, I am easily adaptable to a range of young people and have developed a strong sense of patience and care! I am very outgoing, and have such a strong passion for working with young people, providing a multitude of skills! I hold all required qualifications and checks. Due to working full-time, my availability is restricted to weekends.
