My passion for childcare sparked when I lived in Rio De Janeiro and volunteered at an orphanage. After this experience I knew I had to continue working with kids. While in uni I volunteered as a teacher at a middle school and an after-school program for underprivileged children whose first language was not English. One of my summers during uni I worked at Club Med in the kids club (ages 4-10). Taking the kids swimming, to circus school, and the playground. After uni I moved to France where I worked in a daycare, caring for kids ages 0-3. My days consisted of changing diapers, planning activities, feeding and taking the kids outside. I also worked as an English teacher in after school program for kids aged 3-6. I was responsible for leading the class and preparing all class materials. On the weekends I was working as a nanny for a 3 year old and 6 year old, duties included cooking meals, bathing, walking them to/from school, taking them to the beach/park, and bedtime. After France I moved to Los Angeles where I worked as a full time nanny and part-time babysitter. I cared for a baby from 2 months to 10 months. I had to feed and prepare meals, bath, play with and read to the baby, light housework and clean up after the baby.
