Hello, my name is Imogen and I am a second year education student at the University of Queensland. I love children and pets and I currently work at in a before and after school care program as well as being a part-time Nanny for a little 2 year old, 3 afternoons a week, including the occasional weekend. I love kids and building that strong relationship with them and their families and for me babysitting is about proving extra help to the parents and children in anyway I can, from organising dinner to homework help or taking the children to swimming lessons, any assistance I can provide, I will be sure to make sure I am there to give it. As a babysitter/Nanny I love to offer the kids fun activities during my time with them such as taking them to playgrounds, south bank or other activities that they might enjoy. Working in child care currently, I have learnt not to be a push over but be firm yet caring. My teaching philosophy is that it is important to teach children how to be honest and kind individuals, and that is my goal, I do not let them call all the shots but I am fair and honest in my work.
