Hello there, my first experience with kids was in USA, assisting my host mother in her home day care “job” (more like a life style for her for many many years). There I met the basics of taking care of children. For me honestly, this job today is about caring for the kids needs, presence, listening to them and spending quality time. In the last house that I was just renting the room in, I became a mother/big sister for the 4 year old baby girl that lived there; we could spend hours of playing and losing track of time in our adventures. We would create art all the time and also built beautiful cubby houses, I got the best part, I was lost I their beautiful world genuinely enjoying every moment. I think myself is what I can offer as a “care taker”, being there for the kid and listening to their needs, also sharing life and knowledge with patience, always willing to learn from them and establish healthy boundaries for both parts!
