I am a very relational person. I am also highly literate and numerate. I have a very strong teaching background, as well as having significant experience in emotionally supporting and educating children in primary schools. I would encourage parents to "think outside the square," and to strongly consider appointing a male carer to support your children. With so few male primary school teachers, children need other adult male role models. I completed 90% of the units towards the award of a Graduate Diploma of Education before that qualification was replaced by a Master of Teaching. My extensive qualifications include a Counselling Masters' and a Master of Laws.. Yet, I am down-to-earth, and have the capacity to develop a very good and quick rapport, with children and teenagers, whilst being firm with children when the circumstances require. So, I have more than the minimum background and experience required, to handle any of the challenges which children may present in after school care roles.
