For the past two years I have enjoyed working with children and studied a double major in psychology and sociology and have a particular interest in child development. I am skilled in behaviour management and encouraging effective communication with the children I work with. My approach to working with children is to be patient and empathetic as I believe it is very important for all emotions to be respected. I have experience with working with children from age 2 to 8 years old. The past two years have been spent being a part time nanny for a family of 4 with children now aged 5 and 8. Duties included after school care, meal preparation, cleaning, taking children to after school activities and full time holiday care. Last year I was also employed as a nanny for regular morning school drop offs for children aged 2, 3 and 5. I also am a huge believer in play-based learning and love to encourage creativity, imagination and curiosity when I am caring for children. I have various hobbies such as knitting, crochet and roller-skating and would love to support your children's hobbies during our time together.
