I am winding down my duties in my current position of 4 yrs as 2 of the children have (almost) graduated from school and the third is becoming more independent. The 2 younger children in the family are both LGBTQIA+ as well as ASD & ADHD. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself in this position & am so proud to see the people they’re becoming, so its bittersweet looking for what’s next. I’m very active in my role, taking them for bush walks, gallery/museum visits, etc. I’m flexible and able to go with the flow. I’m intuitive, compassionate, and experienced at navigating challenges like shutdowns and meltdowns. I’m currently undertaking a 16 week course with Socially Speaking as “social coach” for the middle child in the family I work with. This course is setting her up for life after school and her confidence is at an all time high. I’m looking forward to potentially using the skills acquired during this class in my future roles. I have unique experience in neuro and gender diverse support. I don’t have formal qualifications in the disability sector and finished my film studies at uni in 2019. My first aid has expired I am looking to renew this.
