Hello! My name is Essa and I have recently moved from the United States for university. I'm currently studying nursing at the University of Adelaide and I'm interested in working with children in the future. I have worked as a babysitter for 5 years for more than 10 families and I have extensive experience from newborns to early teens. Most recently, I worked as a day nanny for a family during COVID school shutdowns in America. I cooked meals, did light house cleaning, tutored the children in multiple subjects and made sure we had plenty of fun. In 2020 I worked at Camp Honey Creek for Girls as a camp counsellor for fourteen girls aged 11-12. While the girls were away from home for the 3 weeks I ensured their emotional and physical well being by providing a fun and caring presence. In my spare time, I like to learn new skills and volunteer within the community. Through volunteering, I have plenty of experience in tutoring children in maths, reading, writing and science.
