I am currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Development. As for my experience working with children, I have been looking after children for 8 years now on a regular basis as a babysitter. I have worked with 3 families over the last 8 years. The first family I have worked with boy currently (17) and girl (16) have now become older they are capable of looking after themselves. I dropped them off to school everyday and picked them up 4 days a week Mon-Thursday, for the last 7 years. Previously to that my first babysitting job was 3 times a week with after school pick up that included help with homework and after school activities drop off/pick up, the children were 5 and 12 years of age at the time. The other family I worked with once a week on Fridays and occasional weekends have moved to NSW, the child I looked after is 3 years old and she was 1 year and only a couple months old when I started with her. I am currently no longer working with any other families and looking for Monday-Friday work.
