I have years of experience caring for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. I have worked and still work as a part-time babysitter for several families since high school. For all of last year I was a nanny to a 5 year old girl picking her up from school 2 days a week and bringing her home to do homework, feed her dinner, bathing, and put her to bed. At the present time I am a babysitter to two boys aged 6 and 9 and look after them occasionally on weekends when their professional parents have work functions or are simply seeking a night out. As well as these part-time babysitting duties, for the past 8 months I have volunteered at Kilkenny Primary School, going to the school every Thursday to help out in a class. This experience has helped me develop exceptional child caring and educational skills. I have learnt how difficult it can be to manage the varying needs of children in diverse stages of educational development. I hone the ability to care for each child individually, while paying close attention to the needs of the group. In this position, I assist with classroom projects and chaperone field trips.
