Every Sunday since mid-2017 I help at AAA sports, assisting children with disabilities to play sports such as cricket, netball, soccer and football, which is truly rewarding and I have made many friendships. From this I have learnt patience and a greater understanding of people skills. I have participated every Sunday since 2017, and have learnt the importance of attending and being reliable for the children who are dependent on me from week to week. I have also just travelled to East Timor for a service trip, teaching secondary school students English, which was a truly amazing experience that has allowed me to be grateful, use perspective and to always be kind. An occuring theme here is that I enjoy being around children and believe I learn as much from them as they do from me.
