I have just returned from the UK where I was an au pair for a family with four young children, I stayed with them for over two years. I have been babysitting since I was fifteen (I am twenty now) and have lots of experience looking after multiple children at once as well as looking after children with disabilities. The youngest was born while I was the au pair of the family, so I gained lots of experience with newborns and their development. I slept trained her when she was six months old to sleep through the night so whilst I don’t have any formal training, I have experience of the process. I am happy to help with light housework and cooking although my preference is to look after children for most of the time. I have a driver’s licence and am happy to do school runs and driving to activities/play dates/ baby groups. I have a working with children check and a first aid certificate as well as references from families I have babysat for. I am currently studying at UWA so am available on weekends and all day on Tuesdays and Fridays and most week nights.
