I am a 21 y/o American student from Colgate University studying at University of Wollongong. Back at home, I babysit regularly, including a weekly nanny position for three children aged 3-7 and an as-needed sitter for two children, aged 3 and 6. When home, I babysit for friends of my family, who have four children, aged 6 months-8 years. I am working towards a degree in neuroscience and philosophy. I am involved in a group called Sidekicks- I applied and was matched with a child in the local town whom I act as a mentor for during my years at Uni. I have experience with children only a few months of age, and am able to cook, change diapers, bathe, and put children to bed effectively. I have worked as a teacher for Sunday school classes of 20 children (various ages), and as a tutor at my university, so I would be capable of homework help, as well as coming up with activities which foster learning. Children generally like me a lot, as I am effective at connecting with them. I would love to be able to babysit children during my time here, as it is one of the things I miss most about being home.
