Hi, my name is Chelsea. From the age of 14 I started volunteering as a Junior Leader with Girl Guides Australia helping young girls aged 7-10 years old. During this time I thoroughly enjoyed running the program with the girls and formed a wealth of knowledge around cooking with children, how to have open communication, forms of educational entertainment and practical skills relevant to keeping the children safe. This role encouraged me to start studying my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. When I began studying this, I was offered a position at a childcare centre in Fig Tree Pocket which allowed me to gain experience in children from babies to kindergarten. I also study a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) part time where I have studied developmental psychology relating to children
