I have experience as a childminder for over a year and have several years experience babysitting. During my previous employment, I was looking after a family of 3 children (6 mths, 2 & 4 yrs old). During my time with the family the 4 year old was diagnosed with severe autism. Whilst with the family i learnt an incredible amount and had the best time. This experience enabled me to enhance my ability to care for each child individually, whilst also being vigilant of the needs of the group as a whole. I worked with the family whilst studying at university, and collected the children from school daily, made their dinner, bathed and put them to bed. I also helped around the house and supported whilst mum returned to work after maternity leave by working during the day. I have a strong ethos towards my profession; making me committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for the children in my care. I worked within a primary school, and supported the teacher in the class with all students. I ran after school clubs in crafts and sports. I am very active and love being outdoors, I would love to work with a family who are like minded and look forward to hearing from you.
