Hi! I’ve just moved to Australia a couple months ago, I’m looking to work in childcare. I’ve had a couple different jobs in childcare, this would include a daycare worker, worked in an after school care club and babysitting. Id like to mention that the main reason I do work in these types of jobs is because I really do enjoy it. I’ll tell you a little about my work experiences, as a daycare worker, my role included: helping to fulfil daily routines within each daycare, supervising meal times and bottle feeding, creating fun activities with children indoors & outdoors, following safeguarding practices and interacting with all children- creating a fun and safe environment. My after school care job Included me providing sessions and thinking of new activities each week to keep all children entertained, following health and safety requirements, and generally trying to make the clubs a really fun and educational experience. And in my babysitting experience I didn’t get paid, but I did live in a apartment with lots of children and I babysat multiple kids on a lot of my free time, before I moved to Australia.
