My name is Catherine, I am 56 years of age and I am a qualified mothercraft nurse and veterinary nurse. I have been working with children in childcare centres, kindergartens & as a nanny over the past 25 years. I have also worked in the pet industry for approximately 10 years. I am very passionate about working with children and animals. I do not drink or smoke and I go to the gym 4 days a week to keep fit. I am currently working with a family, where my role was to look after a father with stage 4 cancer. My duties included taking him to appointments and full filling his everyday needs. As his wife had to go back to work full time, I was also responsible for and still am to this day; taking care of their 2 boys aged 10 & 13. I am also responsible for managing the household (that being washing, grocery shopping, meal preparation, school drop/pick up etc) Ben unfortunately passed away last year and although I am still with the family full-time, I feel my role here is no longer required due to the change in circumstances. I would love to work with a family that needs my help and where I can make a difference to theirs.
