Hi :) I have three children of my own. A 14 year old, a 12 year old and a 7 year old, all boys! I work as a manger full time Monday-Friday in the disability sector. My children’s dad and I are divorced and we do week on, week off with our children, Friday to Friday and I’m looking to earn a little extra money on the weekend ( and during the evenings on a weekday if needed). I thought about many different jobs that I could do but I kept coming back to looking after children. I studied my Diploma in Child Care over 20 years ago, ran a before and after school care while I studied and then went to work full time in child care. It was while I was working in child care that I found my passion and that was working with people with a disability. Once I had my first child, I struggled working in child care, looking after 12 children and having energy to look after my own child/ren. All I ever wanted to do was to work in child care as I had been babysitting since I was 11 years old and loved it.I respect that people’s ideals and parenting styles are different and I will do my best to ensure that I follow your guild lines. Happy to meet you and your family as it is hard to leave to your children with strangers. :)
