My name is Amy and I am 26 years old. I would explain myself as a bubbly, positive and motivated individual and was a passionate Early Childhood Educator full time at a centre I worked at for 8 years where I was a highly relied on, valued staff member. During this time, I was not only an assistant educator but a room leader as well. I was the second in charge in the Kinder room for a couple of years too and really enjoyed intentional teaching which allowed me to extend my knowledge in the Kinder program and curriculum, EYLF framework and the principles and practices in Early Childhood. Trying something different, I worked in the Traffic Control industry for a company for 2 years before I decided to head back to Childcare as I simply missed working in the environment it offered and being a part of a child’s life is so rewarding to me. Not only did I adore the close bonds I had with the children, I also enjoyed making these important, trusting relationships with parents and families too. I’ve babysat multiple children from the centres I have worked at- prepared dinner, bathed them, played activities/artwork with them and put them to bed etc. I respect any household I enter and am a very trustworthy person.
