Throughout the years of working in aged care I have worked with people who suffer from illnesses such as dementia, mental health issues. On a daily, I would perform basic care requirements such as feeding, bathing/showering, cooking, cleaning, feeding and any other duties that needed to be done. I also took the client on community access (doctor appointments, activities, grocery shopping). I would consider myself a very respectful and diligent worker who puts the needs of clients first. I have strict guidelines within myself that I follow on a daily as that's what keeps me grounded as a worker. Being in this industry, you have to show compassion, respect, a nurturing attitude that I personally think I show.
