I began my work in aged care at the beginning of this year after a decade of self employment. I work in the areas of community access and social support, domestic assistance, respite care and conversational therapy. I am currently studying a Cert IV in Leisure & Health after transferring from the Community Services stream and have spent the past 2 years as a founding volunteer member of a local mental health & suicide prevention group. I believe in a holistic approach to care, and have a avid interest in good food, essential oils, massage, trail walking, gardening, swimming, reading and fluid painting, while making my own range of heat packs and growing my own fruits and vegetables. I like art, photography, coffee and movies, and am looking forward to advancing my skills in individual care and natural therapies. I have experience in dementia, parkinsons, hoarding, respite and domestic assistance, with additional familial experience with mental health and disability.
