I have worked with Aspley Aged Care and Opal Carseldine Greens Care community. Working at Aspley Aged Care from 2020-2022, allowed me to gain confidence in attending to ADLs, including showering, toileting, mobilisation, feeding and refine my time management and interpersonal skills with both team members and families. Additionally, I was medication competent, where responsibilities include undertaking the six rights of medication administration, documentation, medication education, working with and reporting to the RN on duty, and general assessment to ensure safe care for residents. In 2022 I moved to Opal Carseldine Greens Care community, my experience was different at this facility, I took on the role of Floor leader of both the dementia unit and standard floor where I had more responsibility for the team and the residents.
