I am very passionate to care for people and I look forward to continuing as a PCA. I enjoy being socially connected and sharing and respecting various cultures and ethnicity. After a year of experience working at Twin Parks Aged Care in Reservoir and Baptcare in Strathalan, I am capable of working independently with residents and supporting them. In addition, I can work and support residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. I can perform tasks such as helping residents for the activity of daily livings which includes showering, grooming, dressing, toileting routinely, pressure area care, transferring with a machine or without a machine, meal assisting and documenting under supervision of RN. But not limited to just physical tasks, I was able to learn and share a spiritual bond by reassurance and 1 -1 interaction times with residents. I also became familiar with Montessori activities. I am keen to learn every day and put my knowledge into practice. I was able to communicate effectively and have a rapport with residents and the team. During my work experience, I undertook training for medication and food handling.
