Being a carer to my sister who has been epileptic and has disability issues has indeed given me the experience to be able to care for others.I have learnt how to keep time and be keen on administering medications, I have also learnt the importance of being a good listener and to communicate effectively with everyone .Through the years with her, I have had to be her safe space where she gets to talk about everything that's bothering her and I will try to help her solve the issues she gets. I have also earned respect for everyone with disabilities as they are people with emotions and feelings as well. Through assisting others I get to fulfill my passions in this field of age care and disability.
