I undertook studying Nursing, performing clinical rotations each semester for two years of the degree, while I did change career direction I have utilised those skills many times in volunteer roles working with the elderly, and two volunteer trips overseas working primarily with the elderly and, for some diversity, in a Maternity and Perinatal Unit.
