I started working in aged care since I was 23 years old back in Portugal when I discovered my passion for taking care of Aged and vulnerable people after my granmother got very sick and i was her primary carer . I moved to Australia in 2010 but I couldn't pursue my career as a support worker because of the language barrier and carrying for my small children. 5 years later I decided to go back to do what I really love. I did my certificate III in Individual support. I have been working as AIN since then at Saint Francis Hostel as my permanent job, and I also work for Connect staffing Group Agency. I have worked around so many different organisations including Joondalup Hospital. Where my roles are helping patients with disabilities dementia or others special needs with their daily living such as showering grooming feeding ,medication etc.
