I have been working in Aged Care for 6+ years both as a Personal Care Assistant and a Lifestyle Assistant. I am passionate about respecting our older generation and treating them with the dignity and respect they deserve. I am a good listener that shows compassion and empathy and understand the importance of independence and privacy. Whilst gaining my experience i have worked with varying cognitive abilities and this has also taught me how person centred care is so important. Incorporating both social and physical interaction can have a major impact on a persons health and well being. I am trustworthy and empathetic and always show dignity and respect. I get so much gratification knowing I can make a difference to someone's day.
