I communicate with all residents effectively emphasizing the personal centered care approach, Assisting/redirecting residents’ with responsive behaviours, observing behaviours and intervening before they develop into catastrophic situations, those skills have been obtained from predominately working with residents with advanced dementia. I assist the nursing staff by observing and reporting promptly any changes in the condition or well being of residents. I ensure the resident's privacy, dignity and respect are maintained at all times. I work by with values that the resident is someone's Grandparent, Mother, loved one and I am there to give them as much care as possible and treat them as if they were part of my extended family.
