I have been an aged care community careworker for over 5 years. I have my Certificate III in aged care. 2 x providing support to people living with dementia and University of Tasmania degree in Understanding dementia. I take pride in the services I provide as I genuinely care about the people I look after. I am compassionate, empathetic, loyal, honest & understand our aged sector. I have extensive experience in providing all aspects of in-home care with specialities in palliative care, complex clinical wound management, and managing challenging behaviours. I also have AIN experience in attending to the medical side of things such as medications, diabetes control & management, blood pressure monitoring, catheter care, bowel screening and extensive wound care. I advocate for my patients/clients consistently as their welfare is all that is important to me ensuring they get the services they need & want. I have built strong, trusting rapports with both clients and families with all of the people I have previously cared for. There is nothing more fulfilling then bringing a smile to someone's face.
