I started my career being a Carer in a facility. Here I learned the basic on job skills required to be a carer in a facility setting. Next I was in a dementia care unit which sparked my passion. During this position I attended extensive training sessions in all areas of the Aged Care Quality Standards and was also the manual handling trainer. This position was challenging, very rewarding and I gained more knowledge and experience than I could have expected. My most recent job was in community care where I worked for 2 years. I started as a carer and loved it but worked my way to a program coordinators position. In this role it was my responsibilities to organise services based on individual needs, my aged care communications, rostering and staff handling, complaint handling, program managing and more. My services are across the board - personal care - dementia care - in home social support - domestic assistance - transport services - medication assistance - shopping and appointment assistance - my aged care communications
